Can you edit videos in Lightroom?  The elementary answer is YES!

In this tutorial, I will evidence you Lightroom’s video capabilities, including making basic adjustments, capturing a still frame, and applying your favorite Lightroom Presets to a video.

Importing Video to Lightroom

When editing videos, make certain y’all stay in the Library Module.  Lightroom does not let you to edit a video in the Develop Module, and then if you click away from the Library module, you will get this message: “Video is not supported in Develop.”

Merely as you lot would with a photograph, you can edit a video’south overall exposure, white residual, etc., in the Library module.  You can also use presets to your video by clicking on the Preset tab:

Lightroom comes with several presets customized specifically for video editing.  You tin also apply any of our Lightroom Presets to video as well.

While many adjustments can be applied to photos, some of those adjustments won’t work on videos in Lightroom.  Here is a list of adjustments that

Capturing Video Stills in Lightroom

Who doesn’t honey a good freeze-frame?  If there is a detail moment in your video that you would similar to capture as a still image, you lot can do that past clicking the rectangle at the bottom of the play card and selecting Capture Frame.

To view your still frame, y’all will need to be in Filigree view.  I’ve highlighted where to find the grid view beneath (see the pointer on the left).

Once you are in Grid view, right-click to unstack the still frame.  You will need to navigate out of Previous Import to view the still photo:

Editing Your Video in Lightroom

You cannot splice clips together, simply you can trim your video to brainstorm and terminate at a designated time.  Kickoff, click the gear icon on the playback bar to bear witness more video options.  Elevate the slider on the left inward to trim a portion of the kickoff of your video.  Drag the slider on the right inwards to cut a fleck from the end of your video:

Exporting Your Video From Lightroom

Once y’all’re happy with the video, it’s time to export it from Lightroom.  Once once again, follow the aforementioned steps that you would typically accept to export photos.  FOR Best RESULTS, in the Consign dialogue, make sure that your video is fix to Max quality:
