  • #1

Hi all

I have a Sonos Ane with Amazon Music and Alexa.

When I ask for a vocal, Alexa gives a lengthy introduction to the song, title and creative person. Not only this, merely the introduction is right over the offset of the song.

Is there a known way to fix this delight? Ideally I don’t want any introduction at all and but for the music to commencement.

Thank you.

Thanks.

How are you lot request for the song. My other half says “play song name” or “play song proper name by artist” and it plays without an introduction via Alexa. Setting the app settings too.

Not much help, but sitting by my sonos one as well reading this and so thought I’d bank check. Exactly same intro as yours.

It’south even more annoying with Audible books on the sonos one: my son asks it to play Harry Potter, and information technology immediately starts on the ane in the kitchen, just plays xv seconds of Alexa saying what information technology is in the room he’s in, so he misses some of it!

I hate using voice controls, so annoying to become information technology to play an actual album instead of the track on the album with the same title, or an album you tin’t remember the name of. Prefer using the app.

Have y’all tried “Alexa, disable Song ID.” ?

Yes I’ve tried that. It confirms that song id has been disabled then continues to use the huge intro the next time.

I’ve also tried putting Alexa into brief mode, which makes no divergence.

I think I’ll get a diagnostic and submit it to Sonos with that video and see what they say.

Did you ever resolve this?

Did y’all ever resolve this?

Not even so, I’ve not had a hazard to muck about with it yet nor submit a diagnostic.

What I have washed is start a free trial of Google Play Music, and so I’thousand going to become the Sonos to use Google instead and run into if that sorts information technology.

I picked a dot up the other day and mine is doing the vocal intro also – 5 abrasive!

If you lot try asking information technology to “play [track] on amazon music”, I wonder if that would stop information technology (because it wouldn’t take the need to tell you what service information technology was using)?

I just use my own music library or Google play complimentary (which just has my tracks which accept been uploaded on information technology) – neither of which (I recall) allow me to employ voice controls to use them. So I don’t have much experience myself.
