Xbox Series X Green Screen Crash

Does anyone else have this problem ?

I have had it recently simply it never happens in the middle of games, rather once I close a game and become back to the dash. Basically what happens is I’ll go to dash, close the game and and then after curt menstruation of time I’ll either get a weird graphical glitch or at some point a dark-green screen then the console will plough it cocky off and will simply plough back on by pressing the ability button on the console (not pad)

It’south happened lately with Fifa 22 (which sends the fans crazy in the menus) Forza five and Halo. It’due south odd because it’s not like the fans are going nuts and if it was overheating I would suspect it to happen under load in game, rather than when I drop back to the dashboard.

I know from check people accept had similar bug in the past, but anyone else here ? warranty is only live till the 25th so if it needs to go back I need to raise the repair earlier then !

No. I’ve had the console close off randomly while playing a game twice since I got information technology almost 11 months agone. Very rare occurrences and oasis’t really happened in a long time.

Nah, simply if I take the space heater on high and the XSX on while playing a graphically intensive game it’ll accident my surge protector. Are you in the insider program? Those builds can exist unstable I hear.

I have never had the XSX take whatever sort of crash at all and I use mine probably iv-5 days a week.

I’ve crashed to dashboard several times over the final year but no, I’ve never had a complete shutdown before.

I’ve had it happen once on Serial 10 when I was browsing HBO Max. Luckily, it hasn’t happened since. I’ve had my panel for virtually seven months now.

Happened to me a few times where I would lose signal to the TV and I demand to unplug the HDMI cable.

Happened to me a while back when I was playing Gears v. It stopped always since I’ve finished the game.

No I’ve had games lock up a lot more usual though. Freeze and instant crash to carte.

Information technology happened to me once or twice but non in a long time. Have you restarted your console or performed a total shutdown? Sometimes power cycling helps.

I missed the light-green screen and glitches function. I’d send it in ASAP or give them a call while it’s under warranty. MSFT is very good nearly getting your panel dorsum to yous, but I’d do it fast.

I’thousand on my tertiary series X since I got it April of this twelvemonth. The 2nd that was a replacement had this issue twenty-four hour period 1. You take to send it in for warranty/repair. Pray the i they send doesn’t have other problems.

My 3rd replacement crashes every fourth dimension I play Scarlet Nexus. I don’t know if I need another replacement console or if it’s the game.

Seems almost no one on this board have these issues just I’ve seen comments on Reddit and YouTube about these issues.

If there’s weird graphics glitches at dash, sounds similar a gpu problem of just contact Microsoft about.

Yes it’s room to vent and no it’s non dusty.

I don’t think it’due south overheating, I can literally recreate shutdown every time with FIFA.

I merely put FIFA on just at present, fresh kick, was only in the menu before I had to do something and so closed the game and left panel on dash. I’ve come up dorsum five minutes afterwards and panel is off, demand to first via panel power push.

OTOH played Halo on quality and Forza for hours yesterday, no issue. Definitely seems like software based.

Re – fans, they’re coming on, but not going jet engine like you’d expect if there was a heating issue.

Anyone know what the turnaround for a United kingdom repair is ?

Not sure if this helps OP, but I had a definitely faulty Series Ten, and didn’t realise for a month or two.

In my example it would crash to dwelling house, and occasionally reboot.

At starting time I thought this was an issue with the game (was Hitman 3 this first started happening to) but after more games requiring the hard drive besides failed to load, I figured it might exist an internal effect. I never had any issues with games not using the SSD, which is office of the reason information technology took a while to recognize as an issue.

Sent it to Microsoft Central and they sent me dorsum a brand new unit; never had an outcome since.

Hope you get it resolved!

At starting time I thought this was an upshot with the game (was Hitman 3 this first started happening to) but after more games requiring the hard drive also failed to load, I figured information technology might exist an internal issue. I’ve never experienced this. Closest affair was the screen cutting to black which initially appeared like random shutdowns, but information technology turns out to be a bad cablevision / HDMI handshake event. Beyond that, I’ve had zero problems.

Thankfully I didn’t experience this since launch. Very rare crashes to the dashboard did happen though.

I besides have the issue where the console turns off after playing games for like an hour. It then can only be turned on via the power button once more.
The strange function is that this exact console was working fine simply a couple of weeks ago. Information technology then one day randomly stopped turning on and I sent it in for repair. Now the repaired console starts up normally merely has the aforementioned issue with it shutting downward. I presume something broke when the ability outcome arose.

Like this? MS replaced it with a brand new console. Never had this upshot with my launch unit. I would definitely contact them.

Mine got a little wonky once in awhile until I moved it out of my tv stand up. (vertical)

I now accept it laying horizontal in my new telly stand up stand and take had nothing issues.

No issues with mine thus far. I’ve had one crash whilst playing GotG, just other than that? Pretty smooth experience.

Sounds like a GPU trouble OP.

I’grand a mean solar day i series Ten owner and it basically runs all day 7 days a calendar week. Non seen this.

Only happened twice for me and it was for the aforementioned game during cutscene transitions. So I think it was a major software issues with that game hard crashing my series X. Has not happened to me over again for almost vi+ months now.

I’ve only had mine for a few weeks but oasis’t had that issue. That said information technology’s on a desk in the open in a very well ventilated area, even then it pumps out a fleck of heat.
